Secret Santa Gift Guide
Now that we’re in a place where gathering with friends is safer (yay vaccines), I wanted to give you a quick secret Santa gift guide for 2021. A guide to help you think outside the boozy box 🙂 Oh, and happy Blogmas day 4!
Tile
Know someone that is constantly misplacing things such as their keys or phone? Gift them a Tile to help them track down their missing item …or items.
It’s the gift that we all think we don’t necessarily need, but we really do. Also makes a wonderful stocking stuffer idea. I mean, I know I need this item for my keys when I don’t put them away. I can be notorious for leaving them in a jacket pocket or running jacket/vest and panicking as I am heading out the door.
Just me? Weird. Okay 😉
Cute Airpod Case
Give the gift of an AirPod case that matches their personality. Bonus points if you find them something customized through a small business or creator.
I personally don’t have AirPods *insert gasp here* but I know so many that do. Finding something that matches someone’s personality for a product they absolutely LOVE, will make you one of their favourites this holiday season.
This may not work as well if it’s a swap/steal kind of secret Santa, but you can still find something that would appeal to many types of people. And then it becomes THE gift that everyone wants to steal.
The way I see it? You’re still the favourite for secret Santa gifts. Winning!
Eye Massager With Heat
Know someone who loves to pamper themselves? Or know someone that takes their skincare regime very seriously? Perhaps you know someone that deals with headaches/migraines and allergies? This is the perfect gift for anyone which makes this a wonderful Yankee gift exchange type of secret Santa gift.
This isn’t suitable for someone with eye concerns such as cataracts or glaucoma. Heated between 40 and 42 degrees celsius, connects to music on your smartphone via Bluetooth and has kneading, trigger point therapy, oscillating pressure and percussion massage functions. The perfect gift for someone who stares at a screen all day and suffers from eye and tension headaches.
Cube and Sphere Ice Molds
There isn’t an entertainer that wouldn’t appreciate a gift like this unless they are already the hostesses with the mostess.
And honestly, if they love entertaining, they can’t have too many of these for those that like ice with their cocktail.
Psssst. Maybe pick up one for yourself too. A gift for all! One for them and one for you!
Gold Plated Cheese Knives
If we did a Yankee gift exchange in our friend group, this would be a highly fought-over item, hands down! Well, all except our friend Derek. Treat your friend to an elegant set of cheese knives, that may not purchase these for themselves.
Honestly, is there such a thing as too many cheese knives? Don’t answer that.
Waterproof Scalp Massager
If you are looking for the ultimate secret Santa gift, this would be it. Perfect for any type of person, but especially those that suffer from allergy headaches, tension headaches and migraines. This scalp massager has 84 massage nodes and is the ultimate gift with regards to self-care. This product can be used on dry hair, or it can even be used in the shower or bath to give you that spa feeling.
And hey, you’re not just limited to your scalp. This massager works well on your neck and I could definitely see myself using this on my shoulder. Definitely on the higher range of secret Santa gifts, but definitely worth the investment if your budget allows.
Soy Wax Candle
Honestly, you can never go wrong with a candle. Just keep in mind that most people are becoming more conscious of the products they are using, so try and make this effort when choosing a candle(s) as a gift. You can find plenty of small businesses that offer soy wax candles, even ones that can be customized. My favourite candles are from YYC Collective as their scent isn’t overwhelming but also has a good scent throw. This cat candle is definitely one that my sister and Brett are getting. This guide is coming out after they get that gift, so no spoilers here 😉
I just finished my last YYC Collective candle, so if anyone wants to get me a gift, I’m just saying.
DIY Bath Bomb Kit
Bubble baths are the best, and there are always Lush bath bombs in stockings except for my husband who is anti-bath. Give the gift of DIY bath bombs to the creative one in your secret Santa gift exchange. This would also be a good gift in a gift exchange, as long as the budget allows for it because someone could use it with their kids or nieces/nephews to have some fun creating bath bombs.
That’s What She Said Game
Know someone that is constantly saying “let’s play a game”?? Of course, you do and this is the perfect gift for them, especially if they were office fans. That’s What She Said is a game of twisted innuendos similar to Cards Against Humanity. There are expansion packs, so if you know someone who already has this game, the expansion packs would make an excellent gift as well.
The perfect game for your next game night, and see just how crazy your friends are.
YYC Collective Box
I already mentioned their candles above, but you can also get other locally curated gifts from them. If your budget allows, you can choose a curated box or you can put your own box together or you can of course pick up one-off items.
Some of my favourite items I have seen on there recently are the Jenna Archer Ceramics, charcuterie board, MTNPK cocktail glass, and the exfoliating sugar cubes. I looooooove the exfoliating sugar cubes and am actually out. Hmm, this list has reminded me of all the things I am currently out of. Time to get shopping!
Wrapping Up Secret Santa Gift Guide
Step outside the box when it comes to secret Santa gifts, and give something different that your friends/family would love to receive. Not that we don’t enjoy the gift of booze, but not everyone drinks, or likes your standard bottle of wine that is typically chosen.
Stand out with your gifts. We’re just coming out of a pandemic *knock wood* and most of us can gather in smaller groups and with family, so give them something to remember. It’s been a rough 19 months for many.
Looking for other gift guides? I have ones for her, for him, and for teenagers.
Now, what is the weirdest secret Santa gift you’ve ever received? I have to know, so let me know below. We did a work gift exchange, and I wound up with an additional charging cable for my phone. Just the cable, except longer. I mean, useful, but strange since not everyone had an iPhone. Can you imagine if I had a galaxy or something? Oh well!
Absolutely love this post! All are fantastic, I’d especially love the create your own bath bombs. We do secret santa at work every year, I once received a bottle of gin and a pair of fingerless gloves… I hate gin and what is the point in fingerless gloves…. Hmmmm
Yeah …what’s with fingerless gloves? haha. I also hate gin so that would be an overall disappointing gift to receive. I loved the DIY bath bombs – kinda want to get one for myself!
