Winter Skincare Routine
If you live in a colder climate, winter can throw your whole skincare routine for a loop. I have perfected my winter skincare routine, and I wanted to share it with you. All of us are going to have far different skincare requirements, so this isn’t a “you should be doing this” kind of post. I do hope that it can help you discover products you haven’t yet tried.

Skin Care Products
I do have a couple of “luxury” skincare products, but all can be purchased at Sephora and are mid-range.
If you live in a drier climate, you may have to use more intense moisturizers or masks. I live in a fairly mild climate, but we do get a fair amount of wind off the ocean, and I spend a lot of time outside running and walking, even in the winter.
Here’s a breakdown of the skincare products I use:
- Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Wipes
- Neutrogena Face Wash
- Origins Ginzing Moisturizer
- Watermelon Water Mask
- The Ordinary Eye Moisturizer
- Laneige Lip Mask
- Mac Sugar Scrub
- Sephora Toner
- Origins Overnight Mask
Morning Skincare
Every morning I wake up, and wash my face with my Neutrogena face wash and pat my face dry. I add a few drops under each eye of my Ordinary drops and pat into my undereye and around the edges of my eyes. After that product is patted on, then I throw on my Origins Ginzing moisturizer. I have loved and used this product for years now. I stock up during every Sephora sale so I don’t run out. I apply to my face and upper neck and then I’m done.
Every morning I also use some of my Mac sugar lip scrub then apply my Laneige lip mask. That dry winter air kills my lips. To keep them looking fresh, this combo is a daily must.
Then I apply makeup if I’m wearing any that day.
Evening Skincare
If I’m showering that night, then I wash my face in the shower, after using makeup wipes to remove my makeup. If not, I still use the makeup remover wipes, then wash my face as normal and pat my face dry. Then I apply my Sephora toner with a cotton round and then I apply more of my ordinary eye drops and pat under and around my eyes. Nightly, I use the Watermelon mask which is very hydrating, then my lip mask. I’ll use the sugar scrub again if my lips are pretty dry, but always the lip mask.
Now, 1-2x/week I use my Origins overnight mask which is so hydrating. This is a moisturizer and it just gets washed off in the morning when I am doing my morning skincare.
Miscellaneous
I will use Sephora face masks and eye masks, but I don’t use them all too often. I definitely use their hand and foot masks a lot. Especially since I am a runner our feet are always in need of some additional love and care.
I also use a Sephora charcoal mask once per week, typically when I have a bubble bath on Sundays after a long winter run outside. It just sits for about 10 minutes or until dry, and then gets washed off.
It has taken me a long time to find the perfect combination of skincare products that work for me, especially in the winter. My skin has been very prone to breakouts in the past, and now my skin is in much better shape.
